April 26th, 2023
Current Trucking is proud to announce four key hires as it ramps up deployment of eMobility assets and supports the expansion of electrical infrastructure nationally.
The new additions include Nicholas David as Head of Sales and Marketing, Giuseppe Perniciaro as Head of Engineering and Deployment, Charles Cohen as Head of Vehicle Onboarding and Fleet Availability, and Sean Wilson as the Director of Key Accounts.
“I am proud to call Nick, Giuseppe, Charlie, and Sean all colleagues,” said Pip Decker, CEO of Current Trucking. “With over 60 years of combined experience, these new team members draw on a diverse background that includes expertise in over-the-road hauling, vehicle upfitting and assembly, corporate development, utility scale infrastructure, and microgrid technology.”
Nicholas David, a veteran in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, brings 15 years of experience in the development and implementation of comprehensive omnichannel growth strategies. David has a proven ability to quickly identify and scale new opportunities that generate added value for customers.
Giuseppe Perniciaro, over the last 20 years, has held various leadership roles in the construction, renewable energy, and electrical distribution utility industries, inclusive of holding an officer position within the United States Navy. Prior to joining Current Trucking, Perniciaro was the program manager for Eversource Energy where he planned $200 million worth of grid modernization investments.
Charlie Cohen, a 25-year veteran in the heavy-haul space, oversees front-end integration of vehicles prior to manufacturing as well as post-deployment training and operator integration. Cohen’s operational and mechanical network is an essential asset to growing Current Trucking’s service offering and enhancing fleet availability.
Sean Wilson is a business development executive with 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. Wilson specializes in commercial EV solutions, charging infrastructure, and charging technologies.
“As we aim to deploy the latest technology and provide the highest quality charging and infrastructure service offering, Nick, Giuseppe, Charlie, and Sean bolster this mission by enabling new electric vehicles and chargers to be safely put into service,” Decker said.
Current Trucking is broadening its turnkey fleet electrification solution for Class 3-8 vehicles and reaching new markets nation-wide. The company is supported by a recent investment for up to $250 million by Ares Management.
